Using Practice Fusion EHR?  Let Us Be Your Practice’s Billing Partner

IT IS IMPORTANT TO STRESS THAT PROVIDERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE USING PRACTICE FUSION OR ANY EMR IN ORDER TO USE OUR MENTAL HEALTH BILLING SERVICE.  We have easy online forms providers can complete to provide patient demographics and billing.  If you are using Sessions Health or TherapyNotes we can do the billing directly in each of those programs.

Note:  Practice Fusion does not allow for providers to bill for themselves to insurance payers directly from within Practice Fusion.  Instead, Practice Fusion offers an integrated billing service and also offers connections to select billing partners that charge high percentages.  Providers should never pay a percentage to a billing service as you overpay (visit http://www.mbpros.com/save for more information and to calculate your savings with MBPros).

We can handle all billing responsibilities if you are using Practice Fusion:

  • Claim Submission:  On a daily basis we will review the Completed Superbills in Practice Fusion.  We then will accurately enter and submit the billing in our Medisoft software.
  • Payment Posting:  We will enroll your practice for Electronic Remittance Advice.  Each day when we submit your insurance claims we will also review and post the ERAs in our Medisoft software.

    • We also will manually post all EOBs your office receives that were not received via ERA by the ClaimMD clearinghouse.  Your office will simply provide us a PDF copy of the EOB for us to post.

    • We will also post all payments made by your patients, both at the time of service and afterwards.

  • Insurance Verifications:  We will verify all insurance benefits for new patients and for patients who change insurance and enter the information in Practice Fusion*

    • Once a new patient has completed the portal forms in the Patient Portal OR if your office has manually entered all patient demographics and insurance information, simply send us an email requesting that we verify benefits for that patient.

    • Benefit information is usually returned by the next business day.

    • We will ensure the correct insurance payer is listed in Practice Fusion.  For example, if your office is located in North Carolina, a patient may indicate that he/she has Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas on the portal form.  Assuming you do not participate with BC BS of TX, we will ensure BC BS of NC is listed as the payer.

  • Rejected Claims:  We will review electronic rejection reports received from the payers.
  • Follow Up Service:  We will follow up on all outstanding or wrongly denied primary insurance claims we have submitted*.
  • ClaimMD Clearinghouse:
    • MBPros will be submitting all billing via the ClaimMD clearinghouse.

    • All ERA (Electronic Remittance Reports) and rejection reports will be returned to the ClaimMD portal.

      • Providers will have the option to have an account with ClaimMD to review your claims and view all reports.

      • You will be able to see the complete history of a claim, whether it was accepted or rejected, and if it was paid you will click a link for the claim to view the ERA corresponding with that claim.
