Submit Your Billing At the Time of Service:

  • For our Premium and PremiumPlus Providers, you can now easily submit billing to us from your iPad or iPhone with the free Medisoft Mobile app.
    • NOTE:  Providers do NOT have to use the Medisoft Mobile app to use our services.  Providers can easily submit billing to us by completing our Online Billing Form ( Billing Log Form ) or by providing us a report from your EMR program

Medisoft Mobile:

With Medisoft Mobile , at the time of service the provider or front desk staff will select the patient and choose which CPT codes to bill for that visits.

Providers have a choice of having daily claim submissions or weekly submissions (for some specialties, like psychiatry, you may want bi-weekly or monthly submissions).

  • Daily Claim Submission:

    • On a daily basis, MBP will generate a report of all transactions submitted from the Medisoft Mobile app since the last submission by our office.  MBP will email you this report.  To see a sample, click here.

    • For providers enmrolled for our PremiumPlus Service, you will report any copays paid on our Online Patient Payments Form.

    • MBP will then accurately enter and submit all charges.

    • For providers who request Daily Claim Submissions, a fee of $9.95 per submission (besides the per claim fee) will be charged. BY DEFAULT, PROVIDERS WILL BE SET FOR THE WEEKLY CLAIM SUBMISSION OPTION BELOW.  No per submission fee (besides the per claim fee) applies for Weekly Claim Submissions.

  • Weekly Claim Submission:

    • Looking to save money?  If you see patients more than once during a week, you may consider the weekly claim submission option.

    • With the weekly option, we will generate a report of all transactions submitted from the Medisoft Mobile app since the last submission by our office.  This report is grouped by patient.  What does that mean for you?  That means we may be able to get more than 1 visit for a patient during the week on a claim, saving you money To see a sample, click here.

    • For some specialties, like psychiatry, you may see a patient once a week every week.  You may request to have your billing done bi-weekly or monthly in order to have patient visits grouped together so you can save.

    • Like with the daily claim submission option, MBP will accurately enter and submit all charges, making any necessary corrections to incorrect/missing modifiers and incorrect procedure codes.

    • Claims will be submitted each week.  Providers who require an additional submission each week may request a supplemental submission ($9.95 supplemental submission fee applies besides the per claim fees).

FAQ:

  • How will Medisoft Mobile benefit my practice?

    • For our Premium and PremiumPlus Providers, the provider can select the procedure codes to bill right at the time of service on your iPad or iPhone.  This saves time as you do not have to provide superbills to staff, and staff then do not have to complete our Online Billing Form.

    • In addition, this eliminates the chance of staff submitting incorrect charges on a Billing Log Form OR neglecting to submit charges for a patient for a visit.

  • Must I own Medisoft in order to use Medisoft Mobile?

    • NO!  You do not need to own or even know how to use the Medisoft Practice Management System in order to use the Medisoft Mobile app.

  • Is Medisoft Mobile an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) program where I must chart a patient's visit?

    • No.  Medisoft Mobile is a simple app designed to allow providers at the time of service to quickly capture the procedure codes and diagnosis codes, and avoid the need of providing this information to front-desk personnel.

    • In addition, for providers who use our hosted Medisoft Office Hours Appointment Scheduler, you can view your appointments on Medisoft Mobile.

  • Can I use Medisoft Mobile for  a new patient at the time of the visit?

    • NO!  A patient must be set up in our Medisoft software before that patient is available to you in Medisoft Mobile.

    • Your staff will have to complete our Online Patient Form for new patients.  Once we have entered the patient in Medisoft, we will send you an email and advise that you can then electronically capture the charges in Medisoft Mobile, even if the visit was for a previous date.

    • For providers who see patients in hospitals and nursing facilities, you will have to provide us the Face Sheet from the facility so we can enter the patient in Medisoft before that patient will be available to you in Medisoft Mobile.

  • The patient's insurance information has changed since the last visit.  Should I still electronically capture the charges in Medisoft Mobile?

    • Yes and NO!  You can still enter the charges in Medisoft Mobile, BUT at the same time your staff instead should submit a Support Ticket to our office with the patient's new insurance information AND effective date.

    • By following the above procedure, this will ensure we enter the charges in the patient's new insurance case.
  • Do I always have to select diagnosis codes for the patient in Medisoft Mobile?

    • NO!  For many of our providers (like chiropractors, physical therapists and behavioral health providers), you will be seeing the patient for the same diagnosis codes for a number of visits.  At the time we enter the patient in Medisoft, we will enter the default diagnosis codes you have provided.  These diagnosis codes will automatically appear on any claims so you do not have to select the diagnosis codes in Medisoft.

    • For providers where the diagnosis codes change from visit to visit (for example, Family Practice or Pediatrics), you should select the diagnosis codes each visit as default diagnosis codes are NOT entered in a patient's case in Medisoft for your specialty.  HOWEVER, one flaw of Medisoft Mobile is the inability to choose what order the diagnosis codes appear.

  • If the patient's diagnosis codes have changed since the last visit, should I select them in Medisoft Mobile?

    • That depends.  For providers where we have default diagnosis codes in Medisoft (chiropractors, physical therapists and behavioral health providers), there are several situations to consider:

    • For chiropractic practices, if the patient has Medicare OR a Medicare HMO, you can chart the patient in Medisoft Mobile.  HOWEVER, have your staff report the new diagnosis codes to us as we will have to create a new case with a new onset date.

    • In all other cases, you may enter the new diagnosis codes in Medisoft Mobile, remembering that Mobile does not show the proper order that you want for diagnosis codes.  So, if it is important that new diagnosis codes be listed in a particular order, your staff should submit a support ticket to us with the new diagnosis codes in order and the first date of treatment for these new codes.

  • Can I enter modifiers and multiple units in Medisoft Mobile?

    • YES!  On the Confirmation Page in Medisoft Mobile you will have the option of entering modifiers for procedure codes and multiple units of a procedure code.

  • Our office does not use Medisoft's Office Hours Appointment Scheduler.  Can I still use Medisoft Mobile?

    • YES!  You can easily select a patient in Medisoft Mobile if you do not use the Office Hours Scheduler.

    • Patients must be set up in Medisoft by MBPros prior to being available for you to select in Medisoft Mobile.

  • We are enrolled for the PremiumPlus Service.  How do we report patient copays paid at the time of the visit?

    • We will be designing an online Patient Copayment Form which your staff can complete each day to report patient copayments received at the time of visit.

    • In the meantime, each day (once per day) your staff can send an email listing the patient name, date of payment, amount paid, and you can also list, if you want, whether the payment was via cash, credit card or check (and if by check, you can list the check number).

  • Will all CPT and ICD9 codes appear on the Electronic Superbill in Medisoft Mobile?

    • NO!  A default electronic superbill will appear in Medisoft Mobile.  You will have to ability to add and remove sections, and add and remove CPT and ICD codes.

    • Note that only CPT and ICD codes in our Medisoft database for your practice will be available in Medisoft Mobile.  If you ever want to bill a new code that is not presently in our Medisoft database for your practice, we would have to add that code to Medisoft before you can add it to Medisoft Mobile.

    • Let Us Design Your Electronic Superbill:  For only $99.95, we can design your Electronic Superbill with various sections and listing all of your CPT and ICD9 codes.
