The most relevant thing I can say about MBP is that they are fast and cheap. My bills go out the same they are submitted to MBP.      We began using Medical Billing Professionals in February, 2015.  We were anxious and nervous since we would be switching to a different billing company in midyear.  Steve guided us and trained us in a wonderful manner.  He is constantly there to answer our questions and help guide us.

     We have had horrible service with other billing companies.  They were never there to help us.  It would take them 2 business days to get back to us.  In the meantime claims were getting denied and sent back.  Our office was unable to receive payment in a timely manner.  It was a very stressful experience.

     However, once we switched to Medical Billing Professionals our office was able to get back on track.  We submit claims and Steve gets submissions to us instantly.  He is always there for us either days/nights or weekends.

     As I came into this office I was unaware of billing codes and procedures.  Steve has made me understand in a respectful and courteous manner.  My knowledge now since I have been working with Steve has been tremendous.

     I also believe the pricing per claim is reasonable and affordable for our small practice.  Our other billing companies were triple the price per claim submission.  Let us also remember service from other billing specialists was poor in every manner.

     When we first began with Medical Billing Professionals, Steve trained us in a manner in which we would have a better understanding.  Our office was new in billing claims.  He also walked me through WebPT.  I have a much better understanding and knowledge for submitting claims.  I was over overwhelemed coming into a position in which I have never been introduced.  Once again Steve made the whole learning process less stressful.

     As we knew the coding process would be changing as of October, 2015, we were very anious that our claims would not be processed; we felt unprepared for the change.  Steve did not let us down.  The transition was unbelievably run to perfection.  We did not receive any denied claims due to processing wrong ICD 10 codes or submitting ICD 9 codes.  I asked Steve many times how this process would be working.  He assured me that we need not worry.

     We would like to say that we would recommend Medical Billing Professionals to all.

I know my billing is in good hands with Medical Billing Professionals. I have claims going out weekly, sometimes daily, to several payers and I know the check will be in the mail within 4-6 weeks. It has streamlined my business. We submit our daily activities to Steve and he is quick to get claims submitted that same day and notifies us of what transactions have taken place. If there are any questions or anything that looks unusual, he responds quickly and gets the situation taken care of. With HIPAA regulations and insurance billing quirks, it is great to know that we have an expert assisting us with our billing. I have been a client of MBP since May, 2006. I made the move to online billing to reduce my overhead from the in-office billing service I was using at the time. My fears were:

1) That the process of getting set up would be difficult and leave large information gaps that would ultimately mean the claims were not being properly processed....more so because MBP operates out of Pennsylvania and I practice in California.

2) I would lose control of the billing process as it would not be off-site.

3) Inputting ongoing claim data would be very complicated and time consuming.

In fact, none of these fears were valid. Individual patient data entry really was easy. Yes, it took some time to enter all the information, but the process is straightforward and needs only to be done once. Thereafter, once a patient's info is in the system, office visit claim data is a breeze to enter...3 lines usually, 4 lines at most. This is a hell of a lot easier than ASHP's ridiculous ASH link system.

I feel more in control of the billing process because I am actively involved in it. Communicating with Steve is a pleasant experience. Usually done via e-mail, he responds very quickly, often the same day, sometimes within minutes. He has a deep grasp of the insurance game, and has commented on errors I've made.      I purchased a clinic in 2009 that was staffed with one receptionist.  The receptionist was also the office manager and handled all insurance billing.  She was not an easy person to get along with but because she knew how the office  worked I did my best to tolerate her personality.  Well, there came a time where enough was enough.  I made the decision to fire her.  The only challenge was SHE DID ALL MY BILLING.  She literally had been holding me hostage at my own clinic because she knew how to handle my billing.  I had no clue how to do that myself nor the desire to learn so I decided not to fire her until I could find a billing company to help me out.
